Tunics Were Made for Thanksgiving

Have you entered our latest giveaways? You could win a Kate Spade desk calendar, maternity pieces or a gift certificate to buy some gorgeous jewelry with!

I don’t know about ya’ll…but I really plan on packin’ it in tomorrow…food that is. I know, I should want to be healthy all the time. On Thanksgiving, however, all thoughts of healthy eating go out the window! Thus, whatever I wear has got to be comfortable and capable of accommodating my food baby. Yeah, I just went there. HA!

I’m of the firm belief that tunics were created specifically for holiday eating. I mean you can throw one on over leggings, look pulled together, yet still be ready to indulge in all the delicious Thanksgiving goodies that you’re faced with. I’m not saying I’m a complete glutton come turkey day, but I come pretty darn close to being one. I jest. Or do I? HA! Plus, if you go for a print, any spills you have are less likely to be noticed. I’m not speaking from experience or anything…

Ok, I’m off to go figure out what dish I’m going to bring to my mama’s tomorrow. Feel free to leave your suggestions. Mama’s stuck!

Yep, I understand. I packed a very loose fitting sweater for tomorrow though I didn’t think to go with a print – genius.

I’m making my cranberry relish and the Knight’s grandmother’s strawberry cake. I had planned to make an awesome, easy pumpkin bread pudding, but I am the only one who can make the cake “just like Grandma did”, so…

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I looked everywhere for a tunic to wear this Thanksgiving. Of course, I started looking less than a week before Thanksgiving. I need to start looking earlier so I can order something online.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of tunics. They fall in the same category as ponchos for me. But, they do serve a purpose particularly when you feel like leaving that top button on the pants undone.
Glad to hear you’re working on your photo book. E-mail me if you need any help.

Girl I am so there with you on the tunics over pants of any kind on Thanksgiving…that little bit of extra space is needed and I never feel under-dressed because the sass factor is maintained. Kristin…that Winter Kate number is GORGE!! (and I don’t mean on the food ahahahaha)

Leggings and a tunic… great idea- think I’ll be borrowing that one! Foodwise I’m in charge of yams and green beans this year, but I love when one of our family friends brings her homemade cornbread from scratch. Happy Turkey Day!
