A Day in Baltimore and Feeling Charmed

Last Sunday we decided to spend our day in Baltimore.  It’s only about 30 minutes or so from us in Annapolis, but we rarely go.  I guess we still just consider ourselves DC locals since we commute in daily.  But I’d heard of enough great restaurants and boutiques, in addition to the salvage yard, that I decided I should make the time.  After checking out some furniture shops and coming up empty handed, we headed to brunch at Woodberry Kitchen.  Boy, were we in for a treat.  It is the kind of restaurant that leaves no detail unattended.  From the cute waiters in plaid shirts to the checked napkins, an upscale country vibe was totally happening. Even better, the restaurant uses local and organic foods, so it was tasty beyond words!

Pulled BBQ on a biscuit with eggs.  Who knew this was the perfect combo?  I promise it was delicious!

A Flatbread with sausage and egg left us wanting more!  After our meals and mimosas, we rolled into Trohv.  This boutique was to die for.  Fun home items like candles, pitchers and chairs as well as furniture and gift items.  Pretty much girly heaven.  And for any DC folks, they are opening a second shop in Takoma Park. Score!

So, our day in Baltimore was a huge success.   Don’t you just love when you stretch just outside your comfort zone and explore?!  Any other Baltimore suggestions for my next visit?
