Pantone Color of the Year: Tangerine Tango

Tangerine Tango

Somehow I missed it, but last month Pantone announced the official Pantone Color of 2012. Oh wait, I did have that whole having a baby thing going on in December. I guess I was just a little preoccupied. But hey, this is still exciting news for me!  I just adore how Pantone announces its yearly shade and instantly you can find it in fun POCs from the runway to home decor (that’s “pops of color” for those who haven’t been sitting around during late night feedings watching, It’s a Brad Brad World. Jake’s a massive fan.  Naturally.).

I’m especially excited about this years hue, Tangerine Tango.  It’s an upbeat reddish shade of orange that brings a touch of warmth to whatever lovely object it’s bestowed upon.  A deep orange is just the touch to bring me cheer in the winter months.  Not to mention I already have a few bright orange POCs going on in my house already.  This just means that I should be able to score even more fun finds in this shade as the year continues.  Score!

What do you think of Tangerine Tango?  Was Pantone totally off or did they nail it with this pick?
