Polka Dots + Animal Prints

So, I’m not typically one to show off my stems, especially when they’re lily white and not as in shape as I’m used to them being, but I decided to throw caution to the wind the other day (pregnancy has a way of making you not care about things as much, haha!) and let them be shown in all their pale glory for another one of my BaubleBar featured looks! As you know, I’m all about mixed prints and polka dots plus animal prints is one of my favorite mixed print combos! When you keep things in the same color family, it can be super easy to wear prints together. Another good tip when your print mixing is to pair a larger scale print with a smaller one to keep things from being too busy.

So, let’s talk about the subject at hand, polka dots and animal prints…For this particular mixed prints look, I paired a polka dot Jovovich-Hawk for Target dress with fierce animal print Jessica Simpson pumps and set it all off with BaubleBar’s Cocktail Eclectic statement necklace. I love statement necklaces as much as I do mixed prints, but I digress…

Since this is a maternity loo, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that bare legs can balance a flowing silhouette and burgeoning baby belly nicely. And while you won’t find me sporting heels too often these days, they do give my legs a more streamlined look versus what flats do for me. Haha!

So, what kinds of prints do you like to mix lovelies? Have they been a part of your maternity style too? If you haven’t quite gotten around to trying out mixed prints yet, I’ll leave you with five little words…polka dots and animal prints. Have I hammered that home enough yet?!

Disclosure: I was provided with the necklace, but the opinions expressed are my own.
