Easy Mason Jar Centerpieces
Don’t forget to enter our fab makeover giveaway!
This past weekend my friend Kate and I were inspired to recreate some pricey centerpieces we came across and loved, only wanted to make them for a whole lot less! I love fresh flowers and these centerpieces turned out so cute that I think I may just have to make them on the regular.
First we went to Whole Foods and bought a bunch of greenery for $5.00 and a bouquet of pink assorted roses for $5.99. That’s all we spent, just $10.99. We then made sure to ask the florist on hand for some wire which she gave to us for free (fist pump!). Once we got home, we decided these mason jars would be sweet and just perfect as the vases. I use these jars as our everyday drinking glasses, so I have plenty of extras.
We then began to trim the stems, as well as remove the leaves off the bottom halves, so that the water wouldn’t get gross.
Then we just organically made the arrangements. I like to pick one larger flower and then go around it in a circle with the others, followed by a few pieces of greenery.
Once bunched, we took the flower wire and wrapped it snugly around the stems. The wire turned out to be really important to keeping the flowers arranged in the look we wanted.
A little more trimming and arranging and, voila, our mason jar centerpieces were completed! Cute right? I have always been a huge fan of pink roses and, in fact, used them in my wedding, but I just can’t believe I was able to make three full centerpiece bouquets for less than $12!
I just love how they turned out. So much so that I used them to make an entire tablescape. Come back tomorrow to check out these little beauties in all their tablescapin’ glory!
