Holiday Mantle Decorating

I love a home decked to the nines in holiday decorations. Holiday mantle decorating and pretty lights are key in my plans. They make everything feel so festive and bright! Even our new house which is in need of the massive remodel we have planned for 2014, feels homey and cheerful with the twinkling of lights. To warm up this room which is the room most in need of love (eh, 80’s wallpaper and brick wall anyone?!), I started with some fresh decorative greens from ProFlowers. They make the whole room come alive and smell great! Then on a side table I set up the RedEnvelope porcelain luminaria village. I love Christmas village sets and this sleek white village is the perfect blend of a modern look and traditional feel. Apparently my 2 year old agrees and decided that his Little People needed a new home for the holidays. I chuckle every time I see them.

Next up I tackled the mantle. I used some of my holiday gear from year’s past and added monogram vintage stockings. How cute are they? I love that they are cohesive and are still different colors! They really liven up the room and put visions of Christmas morning and stockings stuffed with surprises in our minds.
