Easy Ways to Refresh Your Home
It’s about that time again. It’s time for me to revamp the spaces in my home a bit. Each season I like to give my rooms a little refresher. Most people don’t have the budget or the time to completely redo their space every year…and let’s face it…Who would want to? That’s a huge undertaking! But what we do have time for is switching out our home accessories. Such little changes can really make a BIG impact!
I had the pleasure to visit my local Haverty’s store here in Tampa recently and I was like a kid in a candy store. I’m a sucker for throw pillows as I believe they can completely change the look of a space with minimal investment and effort. Haverty’s had gorgeous throw pillows in spades. I shared that I have a throw pillow obsession with the friendly sales associate and she immediately led me to a large and in charge tower of them. After drooling over said pillows for a bit, I circled back with the sales associate and told her that I was looking for some more accessories that could help me easily spruce up my home for summer.
She directed me to their decorating expert, Paul, who was kind enough to give me a little before and after tutorial right then and there. By adding pops of a bold orange, he quickly turned up the temperature on a neutral arrangement. New pillows, a throw and some decorative accessories strategically placed on the coffee table made it look like a whole new room in no time flat. They were the kind of changes we could all easily make in our own homes.
As I toured the store, I also noticed decorative vases sprinkled about in threes. Following the rule of three is always a good idea when it comes to decorating. Arrange a trio of vases or even candlesticks, for instance, at varied heights to create an easy centerpiece. A staged dining room table or side table always looks more polished!
