Next month will be bring about one of the biggest days of my son’s life so far…He’s a about to start kindergarten! Don’t get me started on the myriad of emotions I’ve been feeling this summer…I’m elated that he’s growing up into such a bright, inquisitive little fellow and I’m sad at the same time to see him leave his baby years in the dust. As much as I want to freeze time, I can’t, and kindergarten is knocking on the door, so even though we’ve been enjoying our summer, I’ve also been doing as much as I can to help him prepare for school.
I was elated when Zoobean asked me to check out their service that curates apps, books and educational resources for kids. I think it’s our job as parents to supplement our children’s educations as much as possible and I’m always looking for new ways to make learning fun and interesting for my own wee ones. Plus, Zoobean was featured on Shark Tank not too long ago and I can’t get enough of that show. Just sayin’. They even connect you with a personal expert who will help build your lists and is there to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks to Zoobean’s customized SmartList, I’ve been introduced to new books and apps that were specifically chosen for my six year old based on a profile that I filled out. You can even add unlimited learning kits to your SmartList based on age and subjects. For instance, I went for the First Day of School kit which included a slew of book recommendations, activities and suggestions for how to talk to your child about his first day of school. It couldn’t have been more timely!
I can’t wait to see what else Zoobean has in store for us. With a personalized recommendation coming each week, I know we’ve only hit the tip of the learning iceberg!
