Quick and Easy Entertaining

Growing up if you had asked me about the type of home I wanted, I would have told you that I envisioned a home that was always filled to the brim with friends and family. I imagined people coming and going and gathered around the table laughing.

Now that I have a family and house of my own, I’m happy to say that’s just the type of home we’ve created. We regularly have houseguests, and neighbors and friends are always coming by to hang out. We keep it busy and casual and I just love that everyone is and feels welcome at all times! Just kick off your shoes and don’t mind the mess.

But with all those visitors, I’ve also learned that it means I need to be prepared. With so much going on at all times (kids, work, birthdays, etc.) I like to have a few staples on hand to quickly throw together fun snacks and appetizers. One of my favorite pantry items that I stock up on are Town House crackers. The Original crackers are so versatile and delicious that they can be paired with countless items I have on hand. It’s an easy crowd pleaser to set them out with whatever cheese is in the fridge for both kids and adults. I have a love for cheese and crackers so there is ALWAYS cheese ready to go, ha! I’ve also found that some cute cocktail napkins and a fun drink, like glass milk bottles, really make it feel festive without being overly fussy or complicated.

Quick and Easy EntertainingWhen throwing an impromptu gathering, I also like to create an adult only zone. Just an area with food and drinks where we don’t have to worry about little hands wolfing down all the good snacks and can try and have a full conversation. A parent’s dream! I typically include a quick dip pairing, like the Town House Pita crackers and spinach dip, along with some fun drinks.

Other great Town House options (are you starting to see why I always have them ready to go in my pantry?!) include their Flatbread Crisps and Pretzel Thins. The Flatbread Crisps are perfect for making a quick bruschetta and my son loves the Pretzel Thins with a chocolate hazelnut spread.

For me, having easy affordable items ready to go lets me enjoy the company and not stress. After all, home should be about kicking back, relaxing and making memories. Don’t you agree?
