Decorating with Botanicals

Spring is in the air. For me, that means closets are getting cleaned out (see a mega closet clean out tomorrow!) and the house projects are getting started! We have a few spots that are still in some desperate need of artwork and something that has been catching my eye a lot lately are botanicals. I’ve seen them used in homes a million different ways and they always seem to exude a feeling of serenity and sophistication. See all three examples above! Personally, I think my house could use a little of both!

Unfortunately, amazing botanical prints and charts can be both hard to find and expensive. I love the idea of scouring flea markets and estate sales for either an old book to frame the pages, or old framed botanical pieces themselves. But I’m just not in a place where I can devote a lot of time to the hunt. There are also a lot of great free printables out there that you can find on Pinterest (just search “free botanical prints”). However, I’ve found a few great options on Etsy that I thought I’d share in case anyone else is feeling the green this spring.

1. I love this kumquat poster and think it would look so lovely framed. And its under $10!

2. This fern garden botanical print set comes as a set of nine. I think they are so pretty and delicate and would look perfect on the wall of a sun room.

3. These herb prints have a more water color feel to them and feel so fresh! This etsy shop also has sea life watercolors that I’m tempted with for the playroom.

Overall, I’m really digging the botanical vibe and am looking for the perfect spot in my own home. What do you think?
