1 piece, 3 ways: Monochromatic

1-piece-styled-3-ways

It’s already pretty hot here in Tampa, so when we settled on a monochromatic look for our latest style challenge with Andrea from Momma in Flip Flops and Ellen from That Chic Mom, I wasn’t sure if I could get away with a head toe to black look, which was the color I was leaning toward. Then I remembered a little black dress that I wore last spring and knew the outfit would be perfect. It’s a dress that I’ve found myself turning to time and time again. It’s fitted, yet not too fitted and so flattering. The perfect LBD for the Florida springtime!

So, my metallic accents don’t exactly fall in line with monochromatic, but I can never resist a black and gold pairing. They go together too well. If it wasn’t sweltering here, I probably would have rocked a black tunic, leggings, smokin’ hot heels and a gold statement necklace. Yeah, I still would have gone with gold, but I digress…

Now that you’ve seen my take on a Florida weather ready monochromatic look, head over to Andrea’s and Ellen’s sites to see what they’re wearing!

Love a great gold and black combination. I’m wishing it was hot… or as you’re saying sweltering. 🙂
Stay gorgeous girl and stay cool, you look beautiful.
