Sadly that photo is not one of my own master bedroom. Mine is in sort of a sad state. I really don’t love the color its painted, there tends to be lots of piles, and most of all we are in desperate need of new nightstands. Mine is a junky ol’ girl I bought off a stoop when we lived in DC. Yes before I moved to the suburbs I used to just buy things from strangers off their doorsteps. Its literally one of the best things about living in a big city. The other nightstand in our room is straight out of the early 90’s and really looks the part. It must be some amazing quality furniture because it refuses to break even though I kinda wish it would.
So if there is one furniture update I would give my master bedroom new white nightstands would be first on the list. I’m on the hunt for ones that have a bit of storage and aren’t too pricey. I also have dark dressers but our room is large and I’d love to do some contrasting in colors. I think white nightstands would be cool and here are four I’m diggin’ that don’t totally break the bank.
1. Pottery Barn Kids Gemma Nightstand – This is by far my favorite and designed for kids?! I think it looks sophisticated enough for grown-ups and besides I’m a kid at heart!
2. One Kings Lane Celia Nightstand – I love the subtle sophistication of this nightstand and the top has a lip that might keep my water cup from landing on the carpet. Maybe…
3. Monarch Nightstand from Land of Nod – This nightstand really stood out to me because it has a modern vibe but with some nice details like the scalloped drawer fronts. I’d just have to make sure it isn’t too low. Time to get out the measuring tape!
4. Three drawer nightstand – Love the extra storage of this nightstand and the little feet. I think with some new hardware for knobs it could really pop!
What do you think? Would you ever go with white furniture in the master bedroom?
