It’s officially here, my favorite time of year! Fall is the start of all the end of the year best times. And of course, fall fashion! The weather in Florida hasn’t quite given up the heat of summer just yet (ok, let’s face it, it’s still hot!) there is the occasional moment of coolness in the evening air. Even better, the sunsets become more brilliant as the days end earlier and earlier.
A few fall decor additions to the house really help it feel like the season and that we have the fall weather we are dreaming of down here. Here are just a few really simple but lovely ideas to create this fall fun.
Start with a couple of hurricane lamp vases and fill with a nice mixture of autumn decor. Pine cones, leaves, potpourri all work. Just use some of your favorite combinations of ingredients and immediately you will feel the difference. Those browns, yellows, oranges and greens really transport us away from summer and add a nice cozy feel to the house!
Dining Room Decor
A candle chandelier can instantly be updated by using some orange tapers and a similar colored garland to wind in between. It’s the perfect crown over the dining room table enhanced with a fall themed runner. Adding a round wood board adorned with colored leaves and a few whimsical wheat stacks. So simple, so pretty and a glimpse of the Thanksgiving harvest to come. A couple of small pumpkins on the shelves of the China cabinet complete that dining room fall atmosphere.
Front Door Arrangement
To set the tone and add some fall themed curb appeal, add a pretty arrangement to your front door using warm toned florals. It is the perfect entryway addition and will surely bring a smile to all who visit. Let’s face it, everyone loves fall!
These three easy touches will perfectly set the fall décor tone and provide the base to build from as Jack-o-lanterns begin turning up for Halloween and then cornucopias welcome Thanksgiving feasts.
I get so excited for this time of year! Don’t you? What fun fall décor tips do you have to add to your home throughout this season?
