How do you decorate for the holidays? Do you go all crazy with cute kitchy things in every corner or are you more minimalistic? I tend to go classy Christmas with little touches throughout the house but with kids some of the nicer things are going to have to stay in their bins for a few years. We just trimmed the tree and the first few feet are pretty bare to keep Max’s curious hands safe and sound.
When I saw these supplies in the Target bargain aisle I just knew they would make a pretty DIY holiday banner that is still kid friendly. These are pretty typical items you can find at any craft store, I just happened to score in the bargain aisle that day. Yippee!
To make this DIY holiday banner I purchased two packs of the white felt bunting banners. Two packs of the red felt sick on letters and one pack of little red bows. Make sure when buying letter packets to spell out what you want your banner to say and make sure you have enough bunting triangles and letters.
To make the banner I first strung the bunting triangles on the string. The letters had a sticker backing so I then adhered the letters to the bunting. For extra holiday flair I went cutesy and added the bows to either side of the sign.
Once hung, the Happy Holidays sign has my mantle looking cute and Christmas ready.
So that’s one way I’ve been getting Ho Ho Ho Holiday ready around the house. How about you?
