Holiday Rice Krispie Pops

It’s officially the season of my favorite form of kitchen fun…BAKING! Well, in my house, any time of year is a good time to bake…Haha! But I really love getting those marathon baking sessions in during the holidays. And this year, a new recipe is being added to the mix. My family gobbles up Rice Krispie treats like it’s their job, so obviously these Rice Krispie Lollipops will be a big hit!

ingredients

Ingredients:

3 Cups Rice Krispies
2 Cups Marshmallows
2 Tablespoons Butter
Green food coloring
Red food coloring
Wilton white candy melts
Red sugar sprinkles
Shallow 9×13 baking pan

Directions:

1. Divide your Rice Krispies into 2 separate bowls (1-1/2 Cups in each)
2. Cook your marshmallows and butter in a microwave safe bowl for about 30-45 seconds
3. Scoop half your marshmallows in one Rice Krispie bowl and half in the other

4. Add two drops of green food coloring to one bowl and two drops of red food coloring to the other bowl and mix them well
5. Spread your green rice crispy mix evenly into the bottom of your greased pan

6. Spread your red rice crispy mix evenly on top of your green rice krispies
7. Set your pan in the freezer for about 20 minutes

8. Turn your pan upside down onto a piece of parchment paper to get your Rice Krispies bars out in one piece
9. Roll your Rice Krispies bars up starting from one side to the other

10. Place your rolled up Rice Krispies in the freezer for another 20 minutes
11. Now slice your Rice Krispies about 1″ inch thick from one side to the other
12. Melt your white chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted

13. Frost the outside of your Rice Krispie swirls and sprinkle your sugar sprinkles on top
14. Place your Rice Krispies onto a piece of parchment paper and set them in the freezer for about 20 minutes

15. Place lollipop sticks into your Rice Krispies to look like lollipops and your treats are finished!
