It’s hard to believe but it’s already Monday again! As you might have seen on TV, the Washington, DC area (and the whole Mid-Atlantic/Northeast) got completely hammered with snow. We hope you were all able to stay and warm throughout the storm! It will be a few days before everything returns back to normal around here but that won’t stop me from gabbing about one of my favorite topics, fashion, and specifically how to wear a dress in the winter!
Just before the storm arrived I was able to slip in some shopping. I snagged this cute little black and polka dot dress from Anthropologie. It was on sale at just under $80 and I love how effortless it is to style. Just pull over and go! And with the elastic cinched waist it still flatters the ol’ figure.
Another thing I love is that it’s a great style for adding a blazer for taking it into the office or with no blazer to wear to dinner with friends. A bright cardigan would also work for those of us facing temperatures in the 20’s and 30’s! Although I must say, this cranberry blazer is so versatile and I love the pop of color it gives. I highly recommend you add a solid bright blazer in your wardrobe if you don’t have one already!
Also due to the cold weather…I rocked black tights and booties (similar pair I love here!)! Of course once warmer, this little dress can be styled for a dinner al fresco.
Now that you’ve seen how to wear a dress in the winter, head over to our Monday Mingle friends Momtrends and Thirty Something Fashion, to see what they’ve been styling! You can find the linky at Thirty Something Fashion this week.
