Now that we are mid-way through the first week in January, I feel like I should be all in with some of my resolutions. And yet here I am, still struggling to get some mojo and be motivated. I really do have good intentions of starting some healthier habits in the new year, I swear! But I’m really just feeling like I need a good kick in the pants or something to get going.
I don’t know maybe its the fact that January is a long cold, dark month and I am still recovering from the sugary sweetness of the holidays. Whatever it is, I thought maybe by sharing some of my resolutions and getting prepped with some new gear it would be a step in the right direction.
On to the resolutions. I actually like the idea resolutions as whole. Sure most of the time they never get fully finished, but the start of the year is a nice time to reflect on the changes you want to make as a person. So for my resolutions, here we go.
1) I would like to work out again regularly. Now that Max is one, I’m feeling ready to take time for myself again. Now I just need to do it!
2) Patience! I’m really working at just being more patient in general. With my kids, friends, really everyone. I want to stress less and rather be a pillar of calm. Say it with me. Ohmmmmmm…..
3) More time in the kitchen. Ok this may seem counterintuitive to resolution #1 but I really want to work on making more meals that include vegetables. We eat a ton of fruit and even raw veggies like cucumbers, but I want to cook more too!
So there you have it! My 2016 personal goals. But still I need your help to stay motivated and not fall into the path of least resistance. So on that note, I’m going to order some of this cute workout gear and put workout time on my calendar. How about you? What’s your big bad goal for 2016?! How are you going to achieve it?
