Valentine Champagne Cocktail

Above Cocktails

Above CocktailsThat loving holiday is around the corner and nothing says romance like champagne!  It is truly the ultimate romantic cocktail. So, I went about combining some of my most favorite libations into a pretty little Valentine Champagne Cocktail for this year. And, I think I came up with quite a lovely drink. I’m calling it the Lemon Kiss! I may not get to go out on the big night, but hey nothing is stopping me from whipping up this valentine champagne cocktail before dinner!
Cocktail Ingredients I have these great champagne flutes I love to use whenever I can – Celebrate is something I try to do as often as possible! To put the sweetness of the holiday in full force, I rimmed each glass with lemon juice and frosted with a sugar/lemon rind mixture.  Not only pretty, but delicious with each sip. Then, placed a couple of stemmed cherries and lemon rind in the bottom.  Already it was looking festive!

Next, I combined equal parts lemon vodka and limoncello in a martini shaker with lots of ice. Shake until frosty, and pour about an ounce in each flute. Top with nice bubbly and add a drizzle of cherry juice for color – it has to be pink or red, of course! And, that’s it. How’s that for a simple Valentine cocktail?!

And, after champagne, the next favorite romantic morsel will always be chocolate – the perfect combination, in my opinion. I placed sweet little red chocolate kisses with the cocktails, and, oh my! Sensational!
