Kid Snack: Dino Chips

Dino Chips

As the mama of two children who aren’t all that interested in food, I’m forever trying to find fun ways to get them excited about eating. I’ve found that bringing their interests to the table really helps. My little guy, for instance, is all about dinosaurs. He can’t learn enough about them. So, serving him a snack in the shape of his favorite prehistoric animals is a slam dunk! Enter dino chips…

Ingredients:

Uncooked corn tortillas (found in the dairy section)
Dino cookie cutters
Green, orange, and blue food coloring
Butter cooking spray
Sea salt

You will also need-
Parchment paper
Baking sheet
Dino cookie cutters

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
3. Place your corn tortillas onto your parchment paper
4. Use a cookie cutter to cut out your dino shapes, toss the scraps away
5. Mix a drop of green food coloring with a tablespoon of water, and repeat with other 2 colors
6. Using a piece of paper towel, dip it into your food coloring and water mix and rub it into the top of a few of your Dino’s
7. Cook your dino chips for 6-7 minutes on each side
8. Spray with a little butter cooking spray and sprinkles a little salt on top
9. Cook for another couple minutes
10. Serve with a little salsa and enjoy!
