Distressed Denim for Spring

Grey Jeans 1

If you’ve been following along on our fashion ride this spring so far, you might have noticed that both Kristin and I are kind of crushing on grey denim. Add in the distressed denim look and you had me at hello. Like for real!

I’ve actually had a hard time with denim lately. Ever since having baby #2 all my old jeans just aren’t fitting the same. I’m the same size number, but it seems like things are all wrong, baggy in some places and tight in others. So consider me bewildered when H&M has had the best fitting pair I’ve found in a while, and at a total bargain! They fit in the legs and waist so there isn’t that awkward gap when I bend down to scoop up a kiddo.

One of my favorite ways to wear jeans with this much personality (aka distressed) is to just go basic. This is a basic black shell I’ve had in my closet for a while and I paired it with these gladiator sandals from J. Jill that I’m a little obsessed with. They are going to be a summer staple of mine due to cute factor AND comfort so just consider this a warning for outfit posts ahead.

I’m really loving the black take on these Clarks Viveca Myth Sandals from J. Jill. Gladiators are such a summer staple and these are perfect for long days outside. Kristin even has them in gold and they are just as cute!

Thank goodness the temps are finally warming up, the grass is green and I can start letting my toes be free!
