The official first day of summer might not be here yet, but thanks to the wicked hot temps we’re experiencing here in my neck of the woods, I’m calling it summer anyway. Haha! That means it’s time to make sure my summer wardrobe is in order! Thanks to my personal styling friends at TSF Box Service, Stitch Fix and Trunk Club, I have some lovely new looks to add to my simple summer style…I’m all about easy breezy!
And I’ll be sharing my new summer scores later this week, but in the meantime, I wanted to take a look back at some of my old favorites because, as much as I love new clothes, I’m just as fond of shopping my closet. That’s why it’s important to stock your closet with pieces that you will actually wear time and time again. If you find that, instead, it’s filled with pieces you haven’t touched in years, it’s time for a purge, but I digress…
Neon is something I’ll never give up…It screams summertime don’t you think? And it doesn’t get much easier than the way I’ve worn it here, with white skinnies and sandals! Make sure you click through for even more neon ideas…We teamed up with a slew of our favorite fashion bloggers and all shared our take on the trend!
Maxis…Yes, my signature piece will continue to dominate my summer wardrobe as always. This tribal print number from last year will definitely make it into the rotation. And remember that grey print maxi from Stitch Fix? Its wear number has reached double digits already!
One shoulder…And while I’m loving the cold shoulder look as much as the next door (I may or may not have just picked up MORE cold shoulder tops, bwah) one shoulder styles will always have a place in my heart too! Both trends are great inspiration to keep doing those front raises and shoulder presses. Bwah.
Ad you may have noticed, I found some similar pieces in case you’re looking to add some new pieces to your simple summer style too…And now that you’ve seen some of the looks I’ll be sporting this summer, head over to our Monday Mingle partners in crime, Momtrends and Oh to Be a Muse to see what they’ve been wearing. You can link up your own style posts at Oh to Be a Muse this week!
