As a mostly work from home mom, I don’t go into a traditional office much anymore, but I do have monthly team meetings, client meetings and such that require I wear more than yoga pants out of the house. Bwah! That being said, as much as I love fashion, I love comfort…so my goal is always to put together fashionable, yet functional work wear looks.

Now I recognize that my maxi look won’t work for everyone, but if business casual is your dress code, then all you need are three simple pieces like mine to look great, and most importantly, feel great because you’ll be so comfy. First, find a flowy maxi, or midi/maxi like mine (I may have cheated a bit, but it’s maxi(ish) enough right) and, next, get yourself a flowy cardi.

My dress came in my TSM Box Service box and I’ve already worn it several times. To make it work wear I topped it with a lightweight open linen cardi from J. Jill.  And finally cute, comfy flats are the pièce de résistance. I got this Dolce Vita d’orsay pair in my latest Stitch Fix box and I’m loving them for their versatility! Plus, the printed back makes them so fun!

I’m not the only one who’s been thinking about work wear. I’ve teamed up with a bunch of my favorite style bloggers to show you how to style a maxi for work. So make sure you head over to their sites when you’re done here for more fun ways to wear a maxi:
