Red, White and Blue Inspiration

The Fourth of July is one of our very favorite holidays not only because we get to show our appreciation for our great country, but we get to spend quality time with our loved ones, nosh on delicious dishes, sip on tasty drinks and rock one of our go-to color combos. You see, we’re ALL about red, white and blue here at Take Time for Style! So, I decided to round up some red, white and blue inspiration looks and recipes for your Fourth of July celebrations…

flag scarf

The easiest way to sport our country’s colors is by throwing on a red, white and blue scarf over chambray. They’re perfect partners! You could go the chambray sundress route or even pair a chambray shirt with white shorts. No matter how you wear your chambray, a scarf like my flag number is just what you need to finish off your Fourth of July look. White jeans would also make a splash. It’s a bit too steamy for jeans today in my neck of the woods, but I know that some of you will feel a chill in the air when it comes time to go watch the fireworks!

berry ice

Next we have an easy DIY that will seriously dress up your drinks whether you’re mixing up an iced cocktail or simply serving a nice, cold glass of iced water. Our berry ice cubes will add some patriotic flair to your libations and they’re sure to impress your guests whether you’ve invited the whole neighborhood over or are just hangin’ with your honey and kiddos!

ice cream sandwiches

And finally to round our red, white and blue inspiration, we have a festive Fourth of July ready dessert…Behold, our Red, White and Blue Ice Cream Sandwiches! Again, these decadent treats are super simple to make. We’re not trying to have you toiling away in the kitchen today. You should be out having fun!
