Transitioning the Cold Shoulder into Fall

Cold Shoulder

We all bought into the cold shoulder for summer. I mean how else were we going to show off those sun kissed shoulders while not having to struggle with a strapless bra?? You know I’m dead right about this. But now that we are starting to transition into cooler temps (It is going to be 79 this weekend! As the high!!) how do we make the trend transition into fall? This cold shoulder black dress is a great example of how to rock the trend right on into the PSL sippin’ season.
Cold Shoulder Black Dress First I love this cold shoulder black dress because it’s not too summery and like all great LBDs works as a blank slate while making me feel great. Yes I’m a little squinty in these pics, what can I say that desert sun is strong people, but I still just love how this dress makes me feel.

To give the cold shoulder a less summery vibe I paired it with a tassel necklace in more fall like hues. This one came in last month’s stitch fix box and I’ve already worn it several times. Tassels for the win!  Cold Shoulder for Fall Cold Shoulder Black Dress Since its still a bit too warm for real fall boots, open toed booties are the next best thing. The perfect way to take this cold shoulder black dress right into fall. I bought these Steve Madden booties on sale from Lord and Taylor and they are really comfortable. I plan on wearing them a lot with boyfriend jeans too!Black BootiesWhile the cold shoulder may not be here as a forever trend, lets try and keep it going just a wee bit longer. After all, to only wear it one season seems a shame! How are you going to transition it into fall? Perhaps a fun scarf and jeans? Or a blazer that reveals those shoulders only when you decide its time? Do tell!
