After the anxiety and drama of this past year, its nice to have something positive to look forward to. For me that is the upcoming holiday season. My calendar already feels really full but I think that’s because both of the boys have December birthdays. Add in a few holiday parties for work and friends and the weekends fill up fast! It’s my favorite time of year (well maybe tied with summer!) so I really like to soak it all in.
For my November Stitch Fix, I specifically sent my stylist a note that I was hoping to have holiday looks. You know, those items that have a little something special that make them worthy of a party. Come see what was sent in this Holiday Stitch Fix unboxing video.
If you watch the video, one of the things you may notice is that I really like the items, I just didn’t feel like they all screamed “holiday festive” to me. After trying on all the items, they all fit great but I just couldn’t keep it all. It was really hard deciding what to let go of since everything was a fit!
One item I did keep was this jersey faux wrap dress. I’m a total sucker for a wrap dress and I really love this geometric pattern. It’s so flattering! It is about to get pretty cold here in Maryland and I’m not sure how this will look with tights. Regardless the price is right and I can wear it within these last few weeks and then again in spring.
This necklace from the Holiday Stitch Fix unboxing video especially felt festive to me. I love the deep royal blue colors and it will be great to add a little sparkle to my looks. After trying on the blouse, I also decided it was fun to keep. I can wear it to work but it has just enough texture and silver sheen to dress it up and wear it to a holiday function. My office does a holiday volunteer activity and luncheon so it should be perfect for that!
How about you? Have you tried Stitch Fix? What are your thoughts on using the service for holiday looks?
