Black Lace for the Holidays

Black Lace Peplum Top

We are loving our Moms Do Holiday Style series. With only a few days left to go make sure to enter our $250 Nordstrom gift card giveaway while there is still time. For today’s look we’ve partnered with Julie from Mom Fabulous. She is absolutely adorable so make sure to head over and give her some love.

The black lace peplum top works wonders for a holiday look. This time of year, I love the idea of wearing clothes that feel a bit elevated or special from the everyday. A look doesn’t have to be over-the-top fancy for every party, but details like lace pull a look together to feel festive. I wore this outfit on Saturday. We were headed to a party in a friends home and then from there going to a dressier company party. While that was a bit of an outfit challenge, this look felt like it transitioned pretty well between the two so that I was never under or over dressed. Phew!

Since this black lace peplum top is a nice long length, I chose to pair it with my cranberry leggings. These leggings are from a previous Stitch Fix box and I really love the bold color for holiday parties!

Without meaning to I completely matched my nail color to my pants. I’m not normally quite so match matchy. Too funny!

What do you think? And have you had any clothing challenges this holiday season? I love figuring it out like a puzzle and tend to opt in the over dressed versus under dressed category when having to decide between the two.

Now make sure to head over to Mom Fabulous to see another great holiday look!
