Unless you are like Kristin and live in a gloriously sunny state, winter workwear can be tough. Here is where I might get a little whiney. Living in Maryland is the best. Except for like January through March. It can be dreary and cold and a little too dark too early for my tastes. I really love dresses with boots but once it starts really dipping down pants are just warmer and easier to wear to work. So here is my take on an easy winter workwear outfit that anyone can easily pull together. Even better the pants and sweater are both on MAJOR sale and linked below.
I literally took these photos as I was headed with my coffee into the car for a long commute to DC. And yes it was a wet gross day. Good times, right. Well luckily I work with some awesome friends right now so its always fun to get in and dish on the Bachelor. So lets break it down.
These black velvet skinny pants are really comfortable and I really like the slimmer fit. They work easily with heels or flats and I may even buy them in the dark blue now that they are marked down. Kristin also got me these Kate Spade earrings as a gift and I think the two go together so nicely! I try not to wear large earrings with a big turtleneck to avoid a giant tangle. These seem perfect.
This deep teal sweater tunic is something I picked up way back on cyber Monday. That was ages ago and it is still available in several colors including a very pretty pale pink. I still have several months of sweater wearing ahead (holla if you feel me!) and this thick neck is keeping things toasty.
My tote bag was a total impulse buy at Nordstrom Rack. These photos don’t do it justice, I swear! It is Dooney & Bourke and is made of a nice water resistant nylon material. Perfect for throwing in all the essentials in this icky weather. I like knowing I can set it down on the ground or get slightly wet and it won’t get ruined if need be.
