Three Festive Valentine’s Day Drinks

So, are you staying in on Valentine’s Day or do you have big plans to go out on the town? If your couch is where you plan on landing this Valentine’s Day night, you aren’t alone. The hubs and I have always celebrated heart day before or after February 14th rather than on the actual day. We prefer avoiding the crowds for a cozy snuggle fest at home. You see, our Valentine’s Day tradition has long been to order in takeout, watch a movie and crack open a bottle of vino or mix up some cocktails after the kids go to bed. Don’t Valentine’s Day drinks IN sound lovely to you too? I promise…it is. Give me jammies, my honey and an adult beverage over crazy crowds any day!

Since I figured that at least some of you are on the same lazy page as moi, bwah, I thought I would round up a few fun Valentine’s Day drinks that you could whip up for your significant other this year. They’re all super tasty, and better, yet super easy to make! Because, let’s face it…You’d rather be enjoying a romantic evening together rather than spending the whole night in the kitchen playing bartender. Well, this girl would anyway!

blood orange mimosa

Blood Orange Mimosa: There’s no reason mimosas should be limited to brunch. If you like bubbly, you’re going to love this blood orange version!

boozy strawberry shake

Boozy Strawberry Shake: Nothing thrills our husbands more than this decadent treat. How can you beat a drink and dessert in one?

strawberry hot chocolate

Strawberry Hot Chocolate: And if you want to go the non-alcoholic route, but still serve something festive? This hot cuppa goodness is for you!

Well, there you have it…a few of our favorite Valentine’s Day drinks. I hope they help make your heart day celebrations even more fun. And don’t forget…they would be perfect to share with your girlfriends Galentine’s Day too. I’m all about sharing the love with ALL my favorite people, including my girls!

And for even more Valentine’s Day fun, check out our super simple sprinkle dipped wafer cookies! They’re perfect to serve to the kiddos before you enforce that early bedtime. Hahaha!
