I recently returned from our annual summer trip to our family’s vacation home in the Blue Ridge Mountains and, as always, had a wonderful time. I tried to unplug as much as I could and really soak in every moment that I spent with my hubs and kiddos. This is our last summer before our baby starts kindergarten. That’s right! Next year both of my babes will be in school full time. How crazy is that? Pretty crazy if you ask me. Haha! So, you could say this mama was feeling a bit emotional on our last summer vacation with a pre-schooler. And I may have indulged in a little retail therapy. I can’t wait to show you my favorite summer finds!
Shark tooth necklace…I never pass up an opportunity to pick up some baubles at The Treehouse in Clayton, GA and this shark tooth necklace had my name written all over it. Not only will the metallics go with most of my fall wardrobe, but it’s a perfect layering piece. I have a few other beaded necklaces that I can’t wait to wear it with!
Animal print moccasins…Those of you who know me, know that every summer I head to my favorite western wear store, Sole Place, and pick up a new pair of Minnetonka moccasins. Yes, every single year. I wear them during the fall like I wear my Birkenstocks in the summer…and that’s ALL the time basically. Bwah! Last year I got this animal print version in a darker brown, so this year I decided to go lighter!
Vintage seltzer bottle…We just sold our first home and bought a new one recently which has been incredibly exciting. We’ll be moving there in a couple weeks and I’ve decided to switch up the decor being that it’s a different house with a totally different feel. Modern farmhouse with pops of my signature turquoise is the vibe I’m going for and this bottle will look killer on the new kitchen counter methinks!
So, there you have it…My favorite summer finds so far. I haven’t done all my fall wardrobe shopping yet, so there will surely be more fun finds to come!
