There is nothing quite as magical as the holiday season…Is there? I start dreaming about twinkling lights, peppermint mochas and stocking stuffers immediately upon November’s arrival. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE turkey day to the moon and back and certainly don’t completely gloss over it in favor of Christmas. In fact, Megan and I just loved hitting the road with our families this year and meeting up for a Thanksgiving getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains! In case you missed it, we shared our Thanksgiving road trip kit ideas that also work for your holiday trips. That being said, as SOON as I’ve finished gobbling up that tasty turkey dinner, the holiday decorations come out. And I’m also in serious holiday shopping mode. I’m making a list and checking it twice if you know what I mean. Haha!
Stocking Stuffers Inspiration
So, I looked over my holiday stash, took stock of what I already had and headed over to one of my favorite holiday headquarters, CVS Pharmacy, to see their holiday offerings. Happily, I was greeted with a bevy of unique, budget friendly and even unexpected stocking stuffers that I knew would put smiles on my loved ones’ faces. And the deals on them were so good, I decided to stock up right then and there. Luckily, my handy dandy CVS Pharmacy app sends me push notifications letting me know just what I can snag when I walk in the store. It takes the guesswork out of my shopping trip and saves me from wandering around looking for the specials. Who has extra time on their hands during this time of year? Not this girl. You really can’t beat your local store’s available coupons being at the ready!
CVS to the Rescue
And not only were there plenty of fabulous coupons to take advantage of, but there were deals like buy 2 get 3rd free and buy 1, get 1 50% off on loads of their holiday candy. I obviously filled up my cart in no time. I also decided that I couldn’t wait until Christmas and surprised the kiddos with some goodies when we reached the mountains. I’m talking candy canes, Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, Pez, candy canes, Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark and even Brookside chocolate covered cranberries, Gold Emblem pistachios and an EOS lip balm (those last few are for Megan, because grown up besties deserve surprises too)!
Now I know I’m not the only mama on the hunt for stocking stuffers this year, so make sure you download the CVS Pharmacy app and sign up for ExtraCare Rewards before you head out on your shopping trip. I never check out at CVS without showing them my card, or in my case my app. If you don’t, you’re just leaving money on the table! I mean you can save money AND earn rewards at the same time. How do, personalized savings offers, app-only deals and earning 2% cash back via Quarterly ExtraBucks sound? We could all use a little extra money around the holidays. Am I right?!
