Perfectly Pear Champagne Cocktail

Pear Champagne Cocktail

While I don't get to entertain as much as I used to, I'm a firm believer in greeting guests with a festive cocktail when they walk through the door. Typically I vote for only planning to start the party with a specialty drink. You can easily switch to beer and wine but something about starting off with a cocktail just gets the party going. This pear champagne cocktail is a great way to celebrate fall flavors. The bubbles also balance so well with the delicate tastes of pear. It's easy to make and will still...

3 Summer Sangria Recipes

My baby girl graduated pre-school today. Sob. I can't believe that next month it will be five whole years since she joined our family! How is that possible? Le sigh. As you can imagine, I've collapsed into a puddle of tears at this point and am in serious need of an adult beverage or three. Bwah! Being that it's National Wine Day, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some of our favorite summer ready sangria recipes...

Our Best Winter Cocktails

So, it's officially my least favorite time of the year. You know that icky winter period after Christmas otherwise know as January. Bwah! As I've mentioned in the past I just love holidays that allow me to bake, decorate and dress for them and until February arrives with Valentine's Day, there isn't much of that going on. Actually, I may be doing a little pre-Valentine's Day celebrating. There are too many heart day treats calling my name, haha! But if you aren't quite ready to move onto another holiday yet, that doesn't mean you can't...

How to Make A Baileys Martini

Baileys Martini

The holidays are still lingering in my house. After a wonderful holiday season with the boys, I'm just not ready to let go of all the twinkly lights and warm glow. It was our first year where both kids were REALLY into it and also each a little more self-sufficient. Having two kids born in December means that I've had a newborn or a one-year-old almost non-stop for the past 5 years of holidays. I too was very ready to kick back and truly revel in the holiday. One little way I like to soak it...

Well my new recent favorite find is an easy sangria that's ready to go, Sangria Lolea. Have you heard of it? I found their Sangria Lolea mini  in these cute red and...

Wine Tasting with Noble Vines

I love a nice glass of wine. I mean duh. It feels kind of silly to write that since I would say that's a true statement for most of us! Typically I change up my preference for red or white along with the weather or what I'm eating and lately I've been in full on white wine mode. A nice glass of chilled white wine on a warm spring or summer day is so relaxing! I recently tried Noble Vines 2o14 Chardonnay and 2014 Sauvignon Blanc and to my delight they are a great option! Both...

Wether you made it through spring break with a visit from the in-laws, survived the horrible weather that struck a good deal of the country, or just endured one too many political conversations, we...
