We recently had the opportunity to interview fashion expert Louise Roe about her personal style and the new handbag line, Miche, that she is the spokesperson for. Not only is she an E! News correspondent and TV personality from the CW’s Plain Jane, but you might remember her from her appearances on The City too! Get ready…This lady knows her stuff!
Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us today Louise! Clearly you’re a gal who knows fashion…What spring trends are you loving the most this year? And are there any particular collections that are inspiring your spring style? Rebecca Taylor, Marchesa, William Tempest and also French Connection . I love their little dresses, printed tops and loads of lace this spring.
Seeing as you’re the spokesperson for Miche, an affordable line of handbags, I’m guessing you appreciate a good deal! Where are your favorite places to score a bargain? I do! I love h&m, Forever21, Aldo for shoes and giant stores like Target often have awesome pieces, you just have to look harder – which to be honest, is half the fun. I also love rooting around flea markets on a sunny weekend. I found a great coat in Brooklyn during fashion week.
Back to Miche…Can you tell us a little bit about these bags? Do you have a favorite? It’s a genius concept – you get to change the cover on your bag as often as you like. You buy the ‘shell’ bag, and then switch up the color, print, texture – even the straps can be swapped too. So, I guess it’s the mother of all bargains, instead of buying a new purse every time you want to play around with your look or match your dress, you just unclip and clip on a new cover. Yes, I have 2 faves – a black solid clutch – so chic – and a mustard-tone small bag, it’s so 70’s.
Before we say goodbye…If you could tell our readers to rock one particular look this season, what would it be? Definitely ’70’s boho. Think laid-back, feminine, light fabrics and florals, maxi skirts, denim shirts, woven headbands and chunky knit cardigans. Easy to wear. French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg is your poster girl.
Is everyone loving her as much as I am? I mean she’s a fellow 70’s style enthusiast after all! And who else is tempted to get their hands on that mustard Miche bag?
