You might remember a couple weeks back when I shared my appreciation for email and how it’s help me facilitate new friendships. Well, not only does email help grow new friendships, but it helps older friendships thrive as well!
A little over four years ago, some incredibly special women stood up with me at my wedding. Without these women, I don’t know where I’d be right now. They’ve laughed with me, cried with me, yelled at me when I needed it…Basically, they’ve always been there for me. Unfortunately, they’re now scattered all over the country, so I don’t get to see them nearly as much as I would like. I wish I had my own private jet, so I could pop in on my girls whenever I wanted! Alas, BonBon Rose Girls hasn’t quite earned the amount of money needed to fund a jet. Haha!
Luckily, email exists and with just a few strokes of the keyboard, I can let my dear friends know that I’m thinking about them. I can ask for their advice. I can share photos of the dude. I can do so many things that help us stay connected! Would I rather do these things in person? Sure! But since I can’t, I am eternally grateful that I have a way to connect with them instantly! So, until it’s time for our next epic get together, I will treasure the messages my ladies and I exchange knowing that when we are in each other’s company again, it will be as if we had just seen each other, no matter if it’s been a month or a year!
