I literally just got back from 9 days in Florida. I took the boys on a road show to see grandparents and loved ones and it wasn’t enough. There are still so many people to see! However, we did get a lot of swimming and Florida sunshine in and I am now CRAVING warm weather. It’s in the sixties here in Maryland. Sorry…That just doesn’t cut it. I need eighty degree temps asap!
Although, I did come back to green leaves and blooming flowers. It seems that spring has sprung and everything is blossoming. Hooray! That also means I’m itching to get our outdoor spaces prepped for a long season ahead. I need a new doormat, some fresh flowers for planters and, of course, herbs. I’m hoping to have some success in the basil department this year. Apparently this urge to get going on outdoor projects is something that happens to me every year around this time. As I was looking back I discovered several projects and here are three that get me excited to get out there.
1. Front door quick makeover. Last summer I was prego and not feeling my best, but I made sure to make time to find some giant blue planters and add some front door pop.
2. A few years ago we decided to create a paved walkway to add some curb appeal and also a place to step out onto. Our old driveway was tiny! This was one of my favorite instant house upgrades!
3. Even before that we took our small backyard space to the next level by adding a deck and furniture, I loved that spot for hosting friends.
So, those are three of my favorite past outdoor projects. Just looking at them makes me want to get out my gloves and get to work. How about it? Anyone else ready to get going on their outdoor to do list?
