I love an easy look that can transition and work for several different activities. After all I’m never in the same place for long. I go from meetings to preschool pick-up to gymnastics all within a few hours and without the chance to change clothes. So, a look centered around a casual blazer means that I can make all that happen while looking appropriate and feeling comfortable.
One way to keep a look light and fun is through mixed prints. For this look I paired a light grey casual blazer with a striped top that was in my latest stitch fix box. What you can’t see are that when I lose the jacket, the top has fun pops of neon at the end of each sleeve. Perfect for play time!
Black Old Navy ankle pants are perfect for an almost spring day. We hit 60 degrees on this day and after a long winter it feels wrong not to celebrate by ditching my boots that I’ve worn for months.
The J. Crew Gemma leopard flats add a fun contrast to the striped top. Not only are they cute and chic, the leopard print really helps lighten the look and feel of the casual blazer.
Of course, no look is complete without a little accessorizing. Also, in my latest Stitch Fix box was this necklace. I’ve already worn it several times and it was only $28! What a score! I love how it helps make this outfit pop a bit.
That’s how I use a casual blazer to take my day from meetings in DC to after school fun. A look that works all day!
