If you’re shopping for a little girl this holiday season, you may be wondering which direction you should go with your gift. Perhaps you should be shopping for the hottest holiday toy of the season? Perhaps not. My take on holiday gift ideas for girls is that you should personalize your present as much as possible. So instead of just focusing on the biggest toy trends of the year, really think about what that little girl in your life loves. That doesn’t mean a popular toy won’t appeal. There is a particular line of dolls, for instance, that is a top brand every holiday season and it’s always one that my daughter would surely love to find under our tree.
I’m talking about American Girl of course. Their Wellie Wishers line is geared toward 5-7 year olds making it perfect for tiny hands that aren’t quite ready for full size American Girl dolls. Pair one, like the lovely Ashlyn, with the sweet Carrot & Hutch playset to put include in their garden play and you have a memory making gift on your hands. Like most little ones, my daughter loves animals as much as she does dolls!
Now you don’t necessarily have to go the toy route. I know that’s typically where your mind goes when you’re thinking about gift ideas for girls, but there lots of options to consider. Do you have a budding fashionista on your hands? If so, a fancy frock would surely delight her. Take this statement making Love Made Love dress. If you want to give a truly special outfit, this is the line for you. Each and every piece is made with love and it shows. And beyond gifts, if you need a special occasion look for your little lady, their winter collection is full of them!
Another interest that you could shop for includes any lessons she may take. Does she dance for example? I bet a fancy new leotard would thrill your little ballerina. The Leotard Boutique is stocked with beautiful, budget friendly leotards, so budget friendly, in fact, that you could give your tiny dancer an array of new leotards in a rainbow of hues. They would make great stocking stuffers too! I’m partial to the ruffle sleeves style myself, but I digress…
So, as you shop for the girls in your life this holiday season, I hope you’ll spend some time thinking about their favorite things! I guarantee you’ll earn major brownie points when it comes time to rip open those packages.
