April in New York City is a weather roll of the dice. One minute the sun is shining and you want to bring out your wispy flowy dresses. The next minute its cold, rainy and you are shivering in your moto jacket. It’s enough to make your head spin around. Which is why whenever I head to NYC this time of year it feels like a major packing challenge. How to cram every season into a carry on. It’s a game I like to play. Ugh. But I must say that I nailed it with this floral boho tunic. Hence me looking rather triumphant on the steps of the New York City public library.
The funny thing is this look works for chilly spring weather as much as it would for fall. But there are so many other ways I can wear this tunic and I can’t wait to show them to you. I think it would be really cute with the right pair of ripped up denim shorts. Yep I’m going there so get ready for that next month, ha.
I found this floral boho tunic on sale at Nordstrom. It’s by Free People (one of my favorite all time labels) and it is still available, so if you like it make sure to snatch it up fast. I love the mixed floral patterns and the bell sleeves at the wrist are pure perfection. They are just enough to give it a classic romantic bohemian vibe without being crazy large and dripping in my soup.
Knowing the weather was going to be chillier than desired, I paired it with my leggings from the Girlfriend Collective. These leggings are a little thicker than many of my others so if you are looking for summer leggings to stock up on, save these for fall and grab these instead.
And of course my open toed booties made an appearance. These are so comfortable. Perfect for a day when I had lots of walking ahead of me. Although I may have pretended I needed a walking break and whined my way into a stop for some cheese and champagne with Kristin. I mean it can’t be ALL work! Oh and I’m wearing Kristin’s sunglasses. No idea how I made that happen. Must have been the champagne, wink wink.
