Summer isn’t quite over yet! I’m still loving warm temperatures and cool treats! This frozen strawberry pie, featuring Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk, is easy to make and can be made ahead and left in the freeze until you are ready to serve it to your guests. Even better is that it is easy enough that my kids were able to get in the kitchen and help make it with me. I love when that happens!
Frozen Strawberry Pie
Graham Cracker Crust Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of crushed graham crackers. (My kids love to help with this part!)
1/2 cup sugar
6 Tbsp. melted butter
Pie Filling Ingredients:
1 14 oz can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cup pureed strawberries with a few Tbsp sugar added to them (I use a blender or food processor)
1. To make the pie crust preheat oven to 375. Mix graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Place evenly in a greased pie dish and then pour melted butter over evenly. Press into a crust. Bake for 7 minutes and then let cool.
2. For the pie filling, first beat the heavy whipping cream in a chilled bowl until you see stiff peaks. Fold in condensed milk and strawberry puree. Pour into cooled pie crust. Immediately cover and freeze for four hours or until ready to eat.
My kids loved this pie and the best part is that it is easy and doesn’t require any prep while guests are over. I love making dessert ahead of time so that I can relax and unwind. This Frozen Strawberry Pie does just that! Yum!
