Living in Tampa Bay has some very special perks. The sunshine and palm trees are obvious pluses of course, but we also happen to be located relatively close to some of the best theme parks in the country, Legoland Florida being one of them. Not only are both my kids complete LEGO nuts, but they’re amusement park obsessed too. So, obviously, Legoland is a favorite destination for our family. In fact, we recently had the opportunity to visit during LEGO® Star Wars™ Days. We had so much fun, we’re already planning to go back for this special event next year. And since we now consider it a don’t miss experience, I thought I would share some of our favorite parts about Star Wars Days, so you can make sure you experience them yourself when you go!
What Not to Miss at Legoland Lego Star Wars Days
1. LEGO® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens MINILAND Model Display: I think this might have been my favorite Star Wars Days feature. Seeing all of those recognizable scenes created with such painstaking detail was something to behold. We milled around MINILAND for quite a while just taking everything in. Just thinking about the thousands of Legos that went into creating the displays is mind blowing.
2. Character meet and greets: There seemed to be characters everywhere you looked and they were more than happy to stop, have a chat and take photos with all the little fans. My kids were thrilled to get up close and personal with their Star Wars people. They even rode the carousel with some. Legoland really thought of everything!
3. Dress up: Now I have to preface this by saying that we didn’t dress up as our favorite characters this time, but I can tell you that as soon as my kids saw other children rockin’ costumes, they wanted to be dressed up too. So, next year, I’ll be better prepared. Their costumes will be on point. My daughter is a huge Rey fan and apparently so is my nephew. Haha! Haha!
Time is Running Out
Apart from the top 3 things not to miss during LEGO Star Wars Days that I mentioned above, there’s even more fun to be had there like special LEGO building opportunities for the kids, on theme lights and music, plus so much more. They basically throw the Star Wars works at you folks. Let me just say this…If you’re a Star Wars fan, you won’t walk away disappointed! Adults and kids alike will have a seriously good time. So, on that note…Who’s ready to plan their own Legoland visit? Everybody right? I knew you would be!
* Don’t miss out! You can still make it to LEGO® Star Wars™ Days at Legoland Florida during the weekends of May 12–13 and 19-20! And for even more info on Star Wars Days, check out friend Krystal’s review of her Legoland experience!
