Does anyone feel the rush of the holidays coming? I sure do! Maybe its because both my boys also have birthdays mixed in there so we just have so much to celebrate. This time of year has me really seeking out great quality toys and experiences that can make those special gifts. So I’m thrilled to report that this Elly Coupe review from Simplay3 has just that toddler wow factor.
Simplay3 is a great company from the founder of both Little Tikes and Step 2. Those brands are so trusted among us moms that I was curious to see Simplay3 in action. The concept behind the brand is simple play or work behind each durable item. Everything is made in the USA and they have some awesome looking outdoor products like wheelbarrows in addition to the kids line.
Elly Coupe Review
I chose the Elly Coupe for Max specifically. He is just about to turn 3 and has yet to master pedaling on his own. I thought a toy like the Elly Coupe would allow him to keep up with his bike riding big brother and give him some independence.
When it arrived he was so excited. A special outdoor toy just for him! There was some minor assembly and off he went! Overall the Elly Coupe feels extremely durable. It has already been used in so many adventures. It has a little storage space behind the driver’s seat and Max often stuffs it with balls and leaves and anything else he finds out and about. The wheels turn very easily and there is plenty of room for his feet to navigate with ease. He is tall for his age and very comfortable in it. The age recommendation of 1.5 to 5 years is spot on. Max would have loved this car even earlier and I can already see him playing it for a long while to come.
And going back to the idea of simple play, I just love that there is nothing that will ever break or require batteries. This is truly a durable outdoor toy that lets the imagination run wild. He seamlessly goes from car wash operator, to taxi driver to stick collector in no time.
As for me, I just adore the color, sweet elephant details and watching him play so happily and independent. It does feel a little more narrow than some other similar cars and for me that means it can’t be overrun by his big brother. It’s rare the youngest kid gets a toy they can truly own and I loved seeing the pride that comes with that.
Max has loved putting the Elly Coupe to the test. It would make such a fun WOW factor birthday or holiday gift. I can’t wait to keep exploring this great new brand!
