How to Get Your Hair Ready for Fall

Summer can be super tough on your hair thanks to the harsh elements and such. The sun can damage your tresses just like it can your skin and you’ve most likely been swimming a time or two. Chlorine tends to dry out your hair and give it a straw like feel that none of us are after. And if you lighten your mane like this girl does. Forget it. You’re already fighting that dreaded dryness battle. Am I right? The lighter you go, the more you strip your hair and it seems like I keep going lighter and lighter. Thank goodness there are beauty products out there that can help keep my hair in tip top shape in spite of my coloring habits. So, let’s talk about how to get your hair ready for fall…

I’ve always found that the end of the summer is the perfect time to focus on serious hair hydration. That’s why I use a mask a few times a week to try to bring my mane back to a softer state. Now you can make your own DIY hair mask, which is fairly simple, or you can take the easy way out and use my new favorite mask from Mastey Paris. I simply put it on after shampooing and leave it on for 5 minutes or so. They also have a great color protecting beach spray by the way. It’s perfect for bringing out those beachy waves which is a look that I happen to rock all year long. Who says waves have to be limited to summertime?! A quick scrunch through my damp hair and I’m ready to roll.

Thanks to my go-to summer hair care products my tresses are officially ready to take on fall! Just in time too…I’m about to get my hair highlighted once again. I just can’t help myself. I love a lighter look…even in the fall. Am I alone?!

Now that you’ve seen how to get your hair ready for fall, I have no doubt that your mane will be softer in no time!
