I’ve been acting like a tourist in my own town!

Last month, Kenmore asked what my biggest household challenge was. This month I’m sharing my genius tip on how I overcame that challenge! Each month Kenmore is giving away $3,000 in Kenmore gift certificates and a chance for those who enter the Genius Tip Contest their to have their genius tip turned into an ad!

You might remember when I shared with you that I was running out of ideas of fun things to do with the fam on the weekends. My ever rambunctious toddler is filled to the brim with energy and keeping him entertained with activities that are somewhat educational and, hopefully, ones that that will wear him out enough that he takes those oh so important naps is at the top of my priority list these days.

In order to solve my dilemma, I decided to look at the beautiful city I live in through the eyes of a tourist and really delve into what Tampa has to offer. As a result, we’ve gone to the beach, which stimulated an interest in the ocean and fish in my little fella. We’ve taken long nature walks wherein our Florida palm trees have become a favorite of his. And, most recently, we visited the Lowry Park Zoo’s DinoQuest exhibit. Like most little boys, my son goes bonkers for dinosaurs and he was beyond excited to be able to wander through the life sized exhibit. Was it crowded? Sure. Did it feel like a tourist attraction? Yep. Did that diminish my joy in seeing my child delight in learning about his favorite prehistoric creatures? Not a bit! So, what have you done to solve a household challenge of your own lovelies?
