Looking for a good stud!

Now I’ve gone and done it.  I have a racy post title, a double entendre if you will, which means now we will probably come up in all kinds of icky searches.  Oh well!  It was worth it, ha! (Sorry Kristin!)  But seriously, I truly do love a good piece of studded furniture.  Maybe its the channeling of my inner rock star, or my love for those chunky leather cuff bracelets I was really into a few years back, but I often gravitate towards studded pieces.  Plus a studded treatment can amplify a boring ol’ chair into suddenly becoming the show piece of a room.  Unless there is a real live stud muffin in it.  Then all bets are off.  Ok, enough already and onto the studs I’m digging right now.

Crate and Barrel studded Colette Bench

I've had my eye on this Colette Bench from Crate and Barrel for so long. It would be just perfect at the end of my bed.

Jonathan Adler Addison Chair

Talk about a chair worth drooling over, check out this studded number from Jonathan Adler.

Nate Berkus for HSN uses large brass studs to bring a funky glam look to this table. I can think of about a million places it could go but would love to use it as a bar for parties!

Z Gallerie studded tray

These studded faux croc trays bring an unexpected punch of fun!

And while I do love all of these picks, I’ve also had my eyes open for a piece of used furniture I could DIY into a gorgeous studded piece.  All you need for the project are nail heads, a hammer and some fearless imagination!

i love this post! haha – title rocks!! i will have to remember this idea when i’m doing things for my apartment – a little metal hardware doesn’t hurt anyone! nothing like a lot of studs to make a girl smile. 🙂

i feel the same way about that C&B bench!! (though I’ve not had my eye on it until now thanks to you haha!). Our bedroom is black & white and this would be perfection.

Hi Megan – Call me a walking stud-finder. I love furniture pieces with studs & I have to agree, must be the biker chick, bad girl wanna be in me too. Oh wait a min. I am a biker chick!! I scored an off-white chair with brass studs several years ago on ebay. It was one of those rare finds that you remind yourself each week how lucky you were. Never seems to happen as much these days. Thanks for the great finds. Loving the Berkus end table too!!

    Cheers to you both xo

My undying love of studs has been painfully obvious for a while. I just wish I could find something that I couldn’t leave the store without (while also not maxing out the Credit card!)

I love studs / gromments on furniture!!!! Very sophisticated look! I got a “kings” chair at an interior design show a couple years ago, was originally 2k but didn’t have a mate so marked down to $75! I have it in the living room, next to an end table and lamp, a little reading nook. One of my fave pieces in the house!

If you were crazy like me it would have read “Looking for a good stud…or to get nailed” 😉 It’s my father’s humor I can’t help it.

I’ve always wanted to try to do a studded headboard but don’t think I could keep them straight!
