If you’re looking to add more fun to your holiday season, we suggest you head on over to Legoland. Seriously. They have the best holiday activities at Legoland. I don’t know about you, but I like to squeeze in as many holiday themed activities as I possibly can right on up to until the end of December. It’s my favorite time of the year and I try to make as many memories as possible with my family. These childhood years are all too fleeting and I want my kids to look back fondly on the holidays so hopefully they’ll make some time for me when their adults. Haha! Hey, if we focus on how important family time is during the holidays, and all year long frankly, they’ll take those values with them and put them into practice when they have their own families someday!
That being said, I’m not advocating for over scheduling your family’s lives. You want holiday fun, not holiday fatigue. Luckily, Legoland Florida offers their holiday event until December 31st. So, if you need to plan your visit for after Christmas, that’s no problem. We went earlier this month, but we just might go back before the holiday fun is over. And since we did go recently, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite holiday sights and activities in case you want to pencil in a Legoland day over your holiday break or even next year! And don’t forget…Lego Movie World is opening this spring. But before we focus on next year, let’s get down to brass tacks. Here’s our take on the best holiday activities at Legoland!
Holiday Activities at Legoland
Countdown to Christmas: Ok, this first one isn’t for the kids, but all you fellow Hallmark holiday movie lovin’ mamas will appreciate the giant countdown clock. I’m not the only one who downloaded the Countdown to Christmas app this year right? Bwah!
Giant Lego Christmas Tree: My kids love giant anything and this Christmas tree made entirely out of Legos was something to behold! And along the same vein, the large and in charge holiday wreath was a hit too!
Letters to Santa: Not only can your little ones bring their creative talents out to play with the Santer letter writing and coloring station, but if you give the helper elf your address, Santa will write back to the kids!
Group Lego Build: There is nothing that occupies both my kids more than Lego building. And the Lego tables that they had set up for group building and competitions at the Bricktacular Legoland event was no different! They didn’t want to leave!
And the Legoland mania doesn’t end with the holidays. Now that you know what we consider the best holiday activities at Legoland to be, let’s talk about next year. Make sure you check in with Legoland Florida throughout the year for plenty more special activities and events like Lego Star Wars Days. My kids have already asked if we’re going again next year, they loved it so much. If you have Star Wars fans in your house, it’s a don’t miss! Trust me. And if you’re in the market for more family travel tips, some of our favorites include NYC with kids and our top 10 spring break destinations for families. Let’s make 2019 the year of family travel. And why not kick things off with Legoland?!
