Monday Mingle: Tankinis and a Giveaway
Megan and I are headed for a cruise in a couple weeks, so I’ve been rounded up vacation pieces lately and my newest acquisition is a Lime Ricki tankini. If you haven’t heard about Lime Ricki so far, they’re known for their stylish, yet modest tankinis and one-pieces. As a mama, I’m always searching for swimsuits that have adequate coverage, so I don’t have to worry about anything falling out. Haha! They were kind enough to send over the Reversible Flamingo Tankini Top, Bralette and Classic Bottoms. The Bralette provided the support this girl needs and the top is actually reversible. I’m rockin’ the black print side here, but love the pink side just as much.
Did you notice that I’m wearing a swimsuit? That’s another thing I’m loving about this suit. I can throw a maxi skirt on over it and head right from the beach to dinner. The tankini top can totally function as a top too. I also added a handmade necklace that I picked up on my trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains and some gladiator sandals. It’s a great testament to Lime Ricki that the suit you’re wearing truly looks like it’s not a swimsuit at all. I’m smitten with that skirt, too. It’s just gorgeous!

Have to say I’m a bikini woman all the way but I did have a favourite polka dot swimsuit that I would wear as a top with a skirt as you are doing here. I guess that is why a swim suit makes such a great holiday item – twice the wear out of one item! Love that necklace!

I’ve been a 2-piece girl – easier to fit because my top and bottom halves aren’t necessarily the same size! – but as it’s the first summer since having a baby I kind of like the idea of a tankini… this one is so great. Love the pattern. And your skirt!

I LOVE lime ricki! And I am definitely a tankini girl — love that I can switch out the bottoms to different styles, and my tummy still stays covered. 😉

I’m generally a one-piecer, however, I’d like to try a tankini.
I really really love the old 50’s style bathing suits with the really high waisted bottoms that have the longer legs and the tops that are covering so my tatas don’t bounce out lol.
