How to Style a Leopard Scarf

Leopard Scarf Black Dress

Can I get a hip, hip, hooray for Friday?! I am so excited to get our first December weekend going! Friday also means that we are already on day 5 of our Moms Do Holiday Style series. Each day we’re teaming up with our favorite bloggy friends to bring you holiday looks PLUS a $250 Nordstrom gift card giveaway. Today we’re partnering with Unlikely Martha. I’m obsessing over her black and white tassel sweater so be sure to pop over and give her some love!

Leopard Scarf Black DressNow on to talking about how to style a leopard scarf. First I have to tell you where I found it. Would you believe it was only $4 at Goodwill?! Those who know me are actually gasping right now. You see I’m not much of a thrift store clothes shopper. No real reason other than I just am so busy with the little guys and life right now that the thrill of the hunt is way too time consuming for me. I’m sure when I’m in a different point with kids having time to find the perfect deal will be more fun. Anyway, I was with a family member who loves to thrift and found myself in Goodwill. While there, I found two scarves with the tags still on AND two brand new Halloween costumes. I can see why people get into it!

Now that I had this $4 Isaac Mizrahi leopard scarf it was time to get styling…

Meg CloseI think this look is perfect for a holiday date. I like to take a night in December to go to dinner and do some of the kids’ shopping with my husband. This look would be perfect for that!

The dress is a sweater material and I really like the fit and flare shape to it. It is a great dress, but I felt it was a little plain. The leopard scarf with some bright red lipstick really seemed to do the trick to bring it to life.

Leopard Scarf Black DressOf course I had to pair it with one of my favorite pair of black ankle booties. I know, I just love heeled black ankle booties and can’t get enough.
