Off the Shoulder Summer Stylin’
If there is one trend I have taken advantage of in spades this season, it’s the offer the shoulder trend. I’ve already scored four, count ’em, four off the shoulder pieces and I don’t know if I’m done yet. Haha! I’m still working on that post baby toddler weight loss, ahem, so I’m always on the lookout for pieces that are flattering on curves. Showing off your shoulders is a great visual trick to try when you’re looking to draw attention away from other areas.
When I saw this off the shoulder turquoise blouse at one of my favorite local boutiques, Tate and Tilly, I knew I had to have it. Not only are the sleeves epic, but the color alone would have sold me as I have a thing for rockin’ turquoise in the summertime. Add in the perfectly flowy shape and the deal was sealed. While this blouse is decidedly relaxed, it’s not so oversized that I couldn’t pair it with flowy bottoms…Hmmmm, I feel another outfit post in the works! But let’s talk about the ensemble at hand…
I paired my new off the shoulder blouse with my favorite J. Jill white denim, metallic wedges and a fuchsia tassel necklace that provided some gorgeous color contrast! White denim and statement necklaces are two more of my summer must haves. Pick up a good pair of white jeans and a few statement pieces and you will be able to dress up the simplest of tees. Just sayin’!

I love this off the shoulder shirt. I loved the 70’s when these were in and so cool. Of course I was smaller and love the carefree yet stylish way they add to your personality. You look amazing. Turquoise is your color 🙂
