How to Get Soft Skin for Spring and a Year’s Supply of Dove Giveaway
If there is one thing that I want when warm weather hits, it’s soft skin. I certainly don’t want bare dry scaly skin and seeing as we hit ninety degrees here in Florida the other day, my days of covering up are over.
I have a very simple routine for how to get soft skin and it consists of just three steps:
1. Exfoliate
2. Use a moisturizing body wash
3. Moisturize with a cream or balm
Exfoliation is key as it helps smooth out my skin and get rid of any winter induced dryness that’s still hanging around. It’s super easy to make your own scrub like I did for my Momtrends beauty column!
After my skin is properly exfoliated, I like to use a moisturizing body wash in the shower. Dove was kind enough to send over some samples which was A ok with this girl as I’ve been using Dove for years. If your skin tends to lean toward the dry side like mine does, there’s nothing wrong with a little extra moisturizing.
My final soft spring skin step is to slather on a thick cream or balm on super dry areas. I don’t do this all summer long as I typically switch to a lighter weight lotion at some point, but when I’m still trying to achieve the super soft skin I desire, a balm is where it’s at! Noodle & Boo’s The Balm is so luxe.

The older I get the more I find I have to exfoliate and moisturize practically daily.The results are worth it, though 🙂
