How to Get Younger Looking Skin in Seven Days

Now that I’m firmly entrenched in my thirties, anti-aging skincare has become a big priority of mine. I’ve been pretty diligent about moisturizing and staying out of the sun the past decade or so, but, nevertheless, some fine lines and age spots have started to appear, especially around my eyes. Now, those lines don’t bother me a ton because they were mostly brought on by smiling. It’s a nice reminder to know I’ve been happy so many times in my life, but that doesn’t I wouldn’t mind seeing them fade a bit…and I definitely don’t want them to get a whole lot deeper. Haha! So, when Neutrogena asked me to participate in their 7-Day Retinol Road Test, I was elated! Are you ready to hear about how to get younger looking skin?
My mission was to incorporate Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair line into my skincare routine and see where the week takes me…Their clinically proven claim of noticeable improvements of fine lines and overall skin tone in just one week definitely intrigued me, but I was worried that results in such a short amount of time would surely mean I would have to add a ton of extra steps to my routine. Nope. There were only three steps in the morning and three steps at night. Just eye cream, serum and moisturizer…Easy peasy!
I decided to go makeup free when it came to documenting this process, so you could really see my skin. That’s how much I love you. Haha! Now I have sensitive skin, so I did experience a bit of minor redness and irritation, but it was so worth the end result. And I’m happy to report that I had no breakouts which anyone who has super sensitive skin knows is major. Over the course of the week, I really noticed improvement in my skin’s texture and tone. It’s noticeably brighter and much softer now.
So, let me give you a breakdown on the Rapid Wrinke Repair products…They contain Retinol SA which helps smooth wrinkles and diminish the appearance of age spots. Glucose Complex which boosts Retinol SA to quickly diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and Hyaluronic Acid which moisturizes, replenishes and rejuvenates the look of skin.
1. Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream: Pros: Lightweight and fast absorbing . Noticeable smoother texture around the eyes. Cons: If you prefer a thick cream, you might be put off by the think consistency, but I’ve found it to be just as effective as thicker creams that I’ve used.
2. Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum: Pros: My skin feels instantly smoother after I put this on. In the past, if I was going to skip a step, it was serum. I really think this step made all the difference with my results, so I will be skipping serum no longer! Cons: None.
3. Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30: Pros: The super cream formula feels very hydrating and I love that this Florida girl loves the SPF 30. Cons: The scent is a bit stronger than the eye cream and serum, but it’s not off putting. So, it’s not exactly a con, just something to be aware of.
4. Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer: Pros: The Retinol has already helped fade one of my stubborn age spots and the hubs commented that my skin was glowing. Definitely a pro that a dude noticed. Haha! Cons: A similar strong(ish) scent to the SPF moisturizer.
Here I am on my final day. I’m wearing no makeup save for a bit of gloss, eyeshadow, mascara and concealer on those dark circles of mine. Think, fair skin means they can fade, but never quite go away, so concealer is a lifesaver…But I’m PSYCHED that my skin looks great without my usual tinted moisturizer or BB cream! I want rapid results because with too many anti aging products they take so long that you HOPE they are effective and preventing signs of aging over time, but you can’t be sure. With rapid results you can feel confident it IS working and you aren’t wasting your money or time. I just turned 47 and like anyone else I want to prevent the signs of aging and look as youthful for my age as I can.
I’ve noticed in this past year that my skin is looking more aged. I think I’ll try Neutrogena because it’s always been a brand I can trust.

Here’s my thing: I started using eye creams in my late 20s. I am now late 40s and have very few wrinkles around my eyes. I’m patient but it’s always nice to see a steady and gradual improvement.I’m still young but like to be proactive in caring for my face. I like this product line but I also respect the environmental elements as sun,wind/altitude smoking and genetics that contribute to wrinkles so it’s important to recognize and take appropriate measures to eliminate the risk factors that can be avoided.
I am in the sun working all day and I noticed my eyes are looking a little older than I would like. (my nieces and nephews like to point it out!)
