Happy weekend lovelies! I believe this is my first official weekend look since I had Jake in December and it feels good to be back. Yesterday, we had a full day, after all St. Patty’s is one of my favorite holidays (no gifts, just drinks with friends, HEAVEN!). We first headed to DC for a little family lunch and furniture shopping in the city, just Floyd, Jake and I. I happened to find an amazing coffee table for our living room that I can’t wait to share once it’s arrived and all set up. Then, it was off to a rooftop celebration with friends. Jake might have been the littlest party goer but I dare-say after we all had a few green beers he was not nearly the rowdiest.
For my uber casual look I paired a black Gap tee with their new broken-in straight khakis in a cobalt blue (Kristin will be so proud, her favorite color!). I can’t say enough about this new line of colorful khakis from the Gap. I have them in a green tone from when I was one size larger and I love them so much I’m planning on going and getting another pair or two. They are the perfect spring pant that’s not quite a capri, and are so easy to throw on and go! Strangely not all colors are available online so it’s worth a trek to the store to see what you like best.
Oh and while I may not have gone out for the day decked in green, I did add a little touch to show off my St. Patrick’s Day spirit!
PS – While taking these pics on my back deck I looked down in shock. Some of my herbs are still growing strong and made it through winter! I had just assumed they had all died off and hadn’t paid them a visit in months. What a crazy mild winter we’ve had here! I guess I need to show them some herb love and clean them up a bit, oops!
